I am not gonna let this cold get me down, dammit! There are things I simply have to do. I can't hide in the house forever. As long as it ain't raining, I guess I'm relatively safe being a rebel, eh?

Today's prompt was a no-brainer again. Only one character really personified the majority of the keywords associated with this card:

Denethor locked the door to the tower room, dropped the halves of the Horn of Gondor and sidled over to the stone pedestal. Beneath a cloth lay all the answers to all of his questions, he was certain. It had never failed him, not once.

But the things he saw now were nearly unbearable. Gondor couldn't survive what was coming at her, and his son… If Boromir hadn't been able to survive, there was no hope for any of them.

And still his fingers reached out to draw the cloth away. He couldn't bear to watch, or to turn away.

Poor DEnethor, a chilling drabble.

I hope you soon feel better.

Again, you surprised me! Before I read the drabble I thought it would be Melkor or even Sauron - but especially Melkor...

Denethor was a good choice though...he played with the devil and became the advocate of sorts....

Hope you are feeling better soon! Being sick is not any fun, more so in cold weather.

Hugs,
Vanime
