Keeping up with today's prompt:



Gimli had seen all sorts of Elves since leaving his home in the Lonely Mountain, and heard many stories from his father about the one he gazed on now.

His hair was a rich and deep gold that gleamed in the candlelight, and his head wreathed with green leaves and fresh flowers. Green eyes shone like glittering emeralds beneath brows arched in surprise at yet another Dwarf in his Halls.

There was a feeling of action just waiting to burst loose about this Elf. Yes, Gimli had seen High Elves before, ancient, powerful, wise. But this – this –was the Elvenking.

How apropos to have Thranduil as the Emperor! I must admit to being surprised that you didn't pick Elessar to match Arwen as the Empress, but I guess that is because you picked him as the Fool.

I do wonder what Elrond, Celeborn, Gandalf or even Glorfindel and Erestor will become, if they feature in the drabbles at all.

I honestly did consider using Aragorn as Emperor for a bit, but I have another idea where he will serve well, so wanted to space him out a bit. After that, it wasn't hard to come up with the proper character who would most epitomize this card.
