It was predicted that our warm/hot weather was going to end as of yesterday.

WRONG!!!

It's already pushing 80°F out, and it's not even 10AM yet.

I guess this is a good demonstration that climate change is real – and that the only reasonable response is to work with what Mother Nature is doing. For us here on the California Central Coast, that means (A) thinking about finally putting a real patio/deck/something in the back yard so we have a place to sit and eat outside, where it would be cooler and nicer; (B) thinking about finally getting a VERY small A/C window unit that wouldn't kill my shoulders and/or arms to put into the window when needed and remove for storage when not.

I don't do well in heat. I don't like to cook when it's too warm. And I REALLY don't like having to depend on Trader Joe's wraps and salads too much. Once in a while is OK, but nightly? Nah...

Have a lady coming to work on her vocal music with me in about 1/2 hour, my weekly talk with Erulisse after lunch, and then a chiropractor's appointment on my docket for the day. I still owe [livejournal.com profile] sensiblecat the Epilogue - been lazy and haven't sent it on yet, bad Aeärwen!

At least I slept better. (Trying to find good things to think about here...)

Happy Wednesday, folks!

Right there with you

I feel ya... I grew up on the Central Coast so any temperatures higher than 74 degrees is a bit yucky, especially since it is often times humid as well. I could say I escaped the summers there but I moved to the Palm Springs Area 10 years ago... now I have to suffer triple digits... I know I bumped my head... But it is awfully hot everywhere, yesterday it supposedly hit 120 and it is still early summer... but again I bumped my head... note to self: keep repeating summer mantra... it's a dry heat... LOL

hehe Given the heat in the Ottawa valley, I can feel for you! :)

Get a proper air conditioner for the window. With the climate that you folks have, you wouldn't need to remove it from the window. And you can use the window a/c unit fan too, with a window open at times, to circulate the air even more. :)
