Your description of your daughter sounds exactly like mine at the moment. She has had similar stressors--work, financial, medical and has used up her reserves. I cannot remember life being that hard when I was in my mid- to late-twenties. I had a kid also and wasn't exactly in a financially comfortable state, but her expectations and the responsibilities she has taken on feel greater to me from the outside looking in. Beats me! I joke that I wish I could shoot my daughter with an elephant tranquilizer; of course, that is not really the solution and probably not legal either!!
Congratulations on the new carpet. That can really change one's look and mood also.
