I loved this story - and wondered if there will be a plot bunny to make a filler story between this one and the IDD series the Magnus Opus? :D I would love to know who the old friend was (It almost sounds like Gandalf, but I wouldn't be surprised if it were someone else) and would love to know how hard the convincing of Maglor to come home might have been. AND the voyage, AND the reactions upon arrival in Valinor...
