For what it's worth, I don't think you'd get flames decrying the difference in philosophy. You might get a few people scratching their heads because they don't get it.
The story gives a very interesting way of looking at things. I haven't begun to comprehend how the philosoply would affect one's worldview, or how a culture based on this philosophy might have different ideas of...not to much good and evil, but repentance, shame and the desire for forgiveness.
I thought it opened a really interesting dialogue.
