Well, life goes on, and Hubby has tried to rally. He is in the process of being weaned off the BiPAP machine, and I've been informed he MUST have a CPAP on when he sleeps from here on in. He's still very weak - can't sit up on the side of the bed or move his legs - but the doctor is having me try to motivate him a bit to do some informal PT to try to start building strength. His MRSA is still active and being treated with IV antibiotics, however.
The good news is that he isn't as yet ready for Hospice (altho there have been a couple of times he's come close.) The bad news is that there's no way in God's Green Acres that he could come home in the shape he's in at the moment. He's months away from that at the very best. Still, there's hope now, where a week or so ago there wasn't much.

What a rollercoaster!
