Following in the footsteps of [livejournal.com profile] owlmoose and [livejournal.com profile] dreamflower02, I have decided to add a Creative Commons disclaimer to my profile:

Creative Commons License
This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 United States License.

All are welcome to use, redistribute, remix or make derivative works, as long as I receive proper credit and any resulting works bear the same license. As a fanfiction author, it would be hypocritical for me to think or do otherwise.

Hi, there! Does this apply to your fanfic or your original stories? I often considered to do the same, but was not sure if a CC license can apply to fanfic. With original work, it is possible, though, and I may do so with my poems and cartoons.

I'd say it applies to both: original and fanfiction. I've had someone riff off on one of my LotR fics (with permission) before already, so I know that it's done. Might as well have it done within a specific limit, and with the caveat that credit be given where credit is due.
