Ooooh, that's really lovely, Aearwen. And I love the oriental dolls. I'm not high on dolls, but I had a school friend who used to collect these and they were so intricate and elaborate, I was always amazed at them. Really beautiful.
Hubby can turn out a very handsome piece of furniture nowadays, I have to admit. I'm very proud of that display case, and seriously leaning toward the oak again with the mirrored backing and glass doors.
I fell in love with Japanese dolls when my aunt (my mom's half-sister) gave me my first one when I was 10. I've been collecting them ever since, favoring the ones with porcelain heads and glass eyes over the ones with painted facial features. Those, Buddhist art and dragons are my passion decor-wise; I also seem to collect books and piano sheetmusic, for obvious reasons. *sheepish grin*
We have a family thing to do for a late brunch, but we usually don't like spending a lot of time with family and small children (picture me running and screaming from small, hobbit-like creatures and you've got the picture - LOL).
ROTFL!! (Your describing yourself running from small, hobbit-like creatures is a hoot!) I just give them all gentle pushes back in the directions of their parents. :-D
Keep your eye open for us on Sunday. I don't know exactly when we'll be on, but we'll be there. I'm not sure if it will be Callethwin or Gwilleth, but I'll be there.
I have nothing on tap after I get finished having refreshments after the service - even our musical review rehearsal has been cancelled because they're going to be holding a potluck in the lodge (where we practice). And no, I'm not going to the potluck; I may be playing music for others to celebrate Easter, but I don't celebrate it myself. I'll be just as glad to be online in-game.
And, FWIW, I've talked Hubby into starting a charcter on Imladris so that once he's our level, we can be a quartet. :-D
