I would be almost bedridden without my Chiropractor, and I recommend it highly. When I first started seeing him, it was for sciatica which had me in such pain I could barely more. Since I am required to be on my feet for 8+ hours a day, that didn't work very well. He had me in 3x a week for the first month, then down to 2x for another month, and then once a week for another two months. After that we went into a schedule of once every two weeks and have kept it up. The few times I need anything additional, he's right there. But I've been pain free now for more than four years with one short exception. I wear the orthotics that I need to wear and that also makes a difference. But he helps with range of motion, pinched nerves, etc. He costs me $55/month for two visits and he's worth EVERY penny!
I am delighted that your brother is almost out of the house. I suspect he'll still have a few ups and downs, but hopefully the worst is now over and he can start rebuilding his life again and be happier as a result.
Try and relax a bit, and if you have a friend who does massage, that may also be a good option for you.
I feel for your friend with cancer. It sounds as if she has had a very rough ride and will continue to have one. She has a great deal of courage, and it sounds as if she has some great friends who will be supportive during this tough time. {{{{ Aearwen }}}}
