You have no idea how wonderful it is to read your story! I had been without phone service since Friday, and thus, the internet, so I was afraid to miss anything related to my favorite elves all weekend long! :)
What a GREAT chapter! I was surprised that Gilraen was laughing at first at her father's accusations; I fully anticipated her slapping him in anger and then walking away...the way you wrote everything out, was actually better than that I had imagined would happen.
AND how telling was it that the twins called her Naneth, when escorting her to the table. :D Did they call her that because she wore the mantle, or because they see her as a mother in absence of their own?
AND!! How sneaky of Erestor to get out promising her not to hurt her father. :))) Those librarians can be awful sneaky, can't they? :P
It is also probably a VERY GOOD thing that Glorfindel never know what was said betwixt Gilraen and her father. THAT is one elf to never get mad...although, judging from the sound of things, Erestor is liable to be worse, Elrond too. And lord help her father if the twins ever get near him should they hear of it!
I am eagerly looking forward to the next installment - is it Friday yet? :P
